Baron Roofing Adds Additional $7500 to Canadian Grand National Purse
THOROLD, ONTARIO (July 28, 2022) … With the support of Baron Roofing, an additional $7,500 in bonus money has been added to the purse for this coming Monday’s Canadian Grand Nationals at Merrittville Speedway.
An additional $2110 will be divided into the top three in both the 358 Modifieds and Sportsman, with an additional $1000 to the winner, $500 for second, $250 for third, plus three additional bonuses of $120 each will be handed out. The Hoosier Stock feature winner will receive an additional $500, $300 for second, $150 for third, plus three $120 bonuses will be spread out throughout the field. The Mod Lites and 4 Cylinders will each race for an additional $300 to win, $200 for second, and $125 for third, plus three $120 bonuses.
A first for Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track will be taking place on Civic Holiday, Monday, August 1. Baron Roofing & Siding will be presenting the Canadian GRAND Nationals. Drivers and fans alike will have a chance to walk out of the facility with $1000, and a lucky child in attendance will have the chance to leave Merrittville with 1,000 pieces of candy.
The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds will compete for the area's richest paying race, $4,000 to win and will now race 71 laps, recognizing the tracks 71st anniversary. The Right Choice Auto & Leisure DIRTcar Sportsman and Hoosier Stocks will battle it out for $2,000 to win each, while the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders and the RONA/Doidge Building Centres Mod Lites will be contending for a $1,000 top prize. The 4 Cylinder event will be the Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt combined race.
