Wreckfest Jr Postponed Again…
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 26, 2023) … For the second time, Wreckfest Jr presented by RONA/Doidge Building Centres has been forced to be postponed. The event was scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 2, but will now take place on Sunday July 23.
“Due to the 93% chance of rain on Sunday and more expected throughout the day, we cannot take the risk with the Pro Riders jumping on their ramps under unfavorable conditions,” comments Merrittville Speedway management.
Wreckfest Jr will now take place on Sunday, July 23 and will feature the 72-lap Enduro powered by 97.7 HTZ FM, a gut and go demolition derby, Pro Rider Freestyle MX, and more. Pit Gates open at 9:00am, grandstands at 11:30 and the event will get underway at 1:00pm.
Merrittville Speedwday will be hosting their regular Saturday night card with the Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series. Fans are encouraged to wear Red and White for the Best Canada Day Apparel Congest. There will be a Kid Zone from 4:30-6pm, with bouncy castles and more. 300 free Canada Day cupcakes will be given away at 5:30pm when the gates open. Racing starts at 7:00pm. The sky will light up during the the racing event with an awesome Canada Day fireworks show.
