July 15th Racing Cancelled
THOROLD, ONTARIO (July 15, 2023) … The Merrittville Speedway has made the decision to cancel tonight's King Paving & Construction night.
“The radar is not looking promising and the high probability of rain mixed with a special weather advisement, we have made the decision to cancel the events scheduled for Saturday night,” speedway management said.
With July 15th being canceled, the focus will now shift to another double header weekend on slate for next weekend. Fastek presents Retro Race Memorabilia night on July 22nd/23. Then July 23td, Rona Doidge Building Centres presents Wreckfest Jr. featuring the 72 lap enduro powered by 97.7 HTZ FM takes over the racetrack on Sunday afternoon. The event will also feature a Pro Rider Freestyle MX performance and a gut and go demo derby.
Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands will open at 5:30pm, and racing will get underway at 7pm on the 22nd. Wreckfest Jr will see the Pit Gates open at 9:00am, grandstands at 11:30 and the event getting underway at 1:00pm.
