Sunset Speedway Park Unveils 2019 Racing Schedule

Banks, Oregon- 2019 will no doubt be one to remember as the season slogan has already been dubbed “Make Banks Great Again”. The ¼-mile bullring oval will feature some of the best dirt track racing the area has to offer. From April to September Sunset Speedway Park will definitely be the place to be with week after week of thrilling action on the card night in and night out. There are over twenty-five-events slated on the schedule with the vast majority taking place on Saturday nights. Regular classes include Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees. Making a number of appearances will be the IMCA Sport Mods and the IMCA Stock Cars while the IMCA Hobby Stocks will pair up with the Pure Stocks for the season.

Special classes making their annual visits to the “Banks Bullring” are the Wingless Sprint Series and the Western Sprint Tour as well as the Wild West Modified Shootout. Just like last year the Interstate Sprint Car Series will be on tap in August for their Speedweek. The calendar also has many of the traditional special events sprinkled about the calendar including the Doug Walters Classic, Iron Man 100, Jim’s Thriftway 100, and the Modified Firecracker 50.

Tickets and times for all regular shows will remain the same but there will be several Discount Days for an incredible price where General Admission is $5.00 for one ticket or $8.00 for two. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.
