Banks, Oregon- Well race fans, it’s back. One of the most popular racing events at Sunset Speedway Park returns on Saturday, June 8th, for Fan Appreciation Night. The “Banks Bullring” will have all cars from the pit area report onto the racetrack for fans to get up close and personal. The ¼-mile clay oval will have seven classes on hand including the Outlaw Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks/IMCA Hobby Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and New Bees. With so much going on the race program will have just MAINS ONLY.

Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:00. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com.

In the one and only Outlaw Late Model race of 2019 it was Sonny Modaff besting the field. Greg Walters returned to victory lane in the IMCA Modifieds after a brief hiatus for his third win of the year. Doug Lockwood and Jeremy Martin have just a single triumph to their names. Three different drivers have visited the winner’s circle in as many Street Stock races including Craig Loomis, Arnie Case, and Zack Simpson.

Coming off a successful Iron Man 100 last week Austin Henderson now has two Pure Stock/IMCA Hobby Stock victories with Kendall Lee and Jacob Myers each having one. In the first two Dwarf Car events of the campaign Jake Van Ortwick and Ryan Martinez have tasted victory. Captain Turnabout is a two-time winner of the 4-Bees and is now tied with Jeremy Hughes with that amount while Ryan Conroy just has a single win to his credit. Lastly, Andie Keller has went undefeated in New Bee competition so far.
