TULSA, Okla. (May 9, 2016) Round eight of the 2016 lineup for the Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region takes place this Saturday, May 14 with the series return to the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz.

The site of Colton Hardy’s first career ASCS triumph on March 19, Hardy became the ninth different winner at the three-eighths mile oval in ASCS Southwest competition.

Looking extend his point’s lead this Saturday, the Arizona Speedway is a good place to get that done for Bob Ream, Jr. who leads the series with four wins to his credit at the Arizona Speedway, but he’ll have to keep New Mexico’s Rick Ziehl at bay. The eight time Southwest Regional champion has parked in Victory Lane on two occasions at the Arizona Speedway with his first coming during the series debut in September, 2012.

While only four point’s separate the top two contenders going into the weekend, Colton Hardy is well within reach with only 50 points separating him and Ream. Casey Buckman holds fourth with J.T. Imperial rounding out the top-five in tour standings.

Picking up his first win of the season in April at the Canyon Speedway Park, Lance Norick hold sixth with Jeremy McCune, Wes Wofford, James Aragon, and Kaylene Verville making up the top-ten.

Saturday, May 14 at the Arizona Speedway will see action getting underway at 7:00 P.M. (MST) with the night’s action presented by Robert Horne Ford. Joining the lineup will be the NAPA Non-Wing Sprint Cars, Modifieds, and Mod Lites. The Arizona Speedway is located at 47346 N Ironwood Rd. Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
