Wheeler Sweeps SOS Doubleheader Weekend With Dave's Home Supply IHS Series
White City, Oregon (September 1st, 2024)—Jake Wheeler put the crowd at Southern Oregon Speedway on the edge of their seats with a late pass to score his second win of the weekend with the Dave's Home Supply Iron Head Sprints for car owner Roger Henderson. It brought the 2024 IHS win total to five for the Central Point native.
As the early race leader, Blaine Cory started the race off in the Brandon Govenor-fielded entry. As the race stayed green, he would hit some traffic on lap eighteen, allowing Wheeler to catch up with Cory.
Wheeler moved around him on the twenty-first trip around the 3/8-mile clay oval. Cory tried to recover on the last lap, but Wheeler kept him behind.
Cory was a respectable second. Bailey Hibbard completed the podium in third place.
