Modified Madness Special on Friday, May 22, Memorial Day Weekend at US 36 Raceway
OSBORN, Mo. – Modified Madness is set for Friday, May 22, at US 36 Raceway and all four classes running have an increased payout for this special event.
The IMCA Modifieds headline the program, along with the Wayne Hicks Memorial Sport Mod Shootout for the IMCA Sport Mods, E-Modifieds and this year the IMCA Sprint Cars. Modified Madness is presented by Miller Light. Also, a special thanks to the Hicks Family in presented the Wayne Hicks Memorial Sport Mod Shootout.
As drivers prepare for race day, they will hit a track that has seen some change over the last week. With special thanks to Shaw Excavating, US 36 Raceway has seen a complete makeover during the course of the week. In an effort to provide a better racing surface for both drivers and fans, the Shaw Excavating crew has helped with a complete reworking of the high banks.
The IMCA Modifieds are racing for $1,066 to win and $125 to start. The Wayne Hicks Memorial Sport Mod Shootout pays $1,066 to win and $100 start. The E-Modifieds are set to compete for $400 to win and $60 to start. To add the fun, the IMCA Sprint Cars are racing for $750 to win and $150 to start.
The pit gates for the event open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 and racing starts at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.
US 36 Raceway encourages teams to register ahead of time if they have not already done so for this season. Online registration is available at https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/3461/registrations.
