Steven Bowers Jr. Sweeps the Weekend, Baumli, Burnett and Barnes also Winners

OSBORN, Mo. – For the second straight night of racing at US 36 Raceway, the IMCA Modifieds saw Steven Bowers Jr. visit Westfall GMC Victory Lane.

Bowers used a front-row starting position to lead every lap of the feature in route to the dominating win. Chad Clancy started in the ninth position and patiently worked his way to second. The lone caution of the race allowed Clancy a chance at Bowers, but Bowers kept a comfortable margin after the restart. Josh Munsen completed the podium with a third place run.

Carson Masoner paced the first half of the race in the IMCA Stock Cars. Masoner comfortably led the first half of the race, while JJ Baumli began his charge from a ninth place starting position.

Baumli and Connor Masoner battled for second at the halfway mark of the race, when the caution flew. On the restart, Carson Masoner continued out front, while Baumli cleared Connor Masoner for second. Baumli rolled the low side of the racetrack and slowly completed the pass for the lead and eventual win. Carson Masoner finished second, with Connor Masoner third.

A full-field of E-Modified drivers took to the high banks and wild first few laps saw Casey Burnett charge from his sixth place starting position to take the lead. He held it the rest of the race and picked up the win. Justin Asher moved up seven positions from a ninth place starting position to finish second. Completed the trend of moving through the field, Ricky Bobby finished in the third position after starting 16th.

Lots of passing took place in the Pure Stock feature as Nate Barnes worked his way from a ninth place starting position to earn the feature win. DJ Barnes moved up from an eighth place starting position to finish second, while Tyler Starmer moved up four spots to finish third.

Up next at US 36 Raceway the weekly competitors continue the season’s chase for a championship on Friday, July 10. The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sprint Cars, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, E-Modifieds and Pure Stocks will all be racing.
