Dancer Entering Busy Memorial Day Weekend With at Least Three Races on Tap

Inside Line Promotions – DELPHOS, Ohio (May 24, 2017) – Shawn Dancer is excited to get back on the track this weekend when he will compete at least three times.
“We’ve got a pretty busy weekend ahead of us,” he said. “We’ll be racing with the NRA Sprint Invaders on Friday at Limaland and Saturday at Waynesfield, possibly with the All Stars at Mansfield on Sunday and definitely with the Outlaws on Monday.”
The action begins on Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio.
“We haven’t won in a while so I’m really hoping that we can get ourselves into Victory Lane this Friday,” he said. “We haven’t been to Lima in a few weeks because of rain outs. We’re definitely ambitious to get a win.”
Dancer and his team put together a new car for the weekend in hope of finding something that works for them.
“We did something a little different with this car than we’ve ever done before,” he said. “I’ve usually always run a longer car and this is a shorter one, so we’ll see how it goes.”
On Saturday, Dancer will race with the NRA Sprint Invaders at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. He hasn’t been to the track yet this year, but is looking forward to the challenge.
“Sunday at Mansfield Motor Speedway with the All Stars is still up in the air,” he said. “But we’ll definitely be at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind., on Monday with the Outlaws.
“I like Lawrenceburg and it’s always treated us well. Last year we went out pretty late in qualifying and cut a really good lap and qualified 12th. We had to pull out of the A Main because of a broken axle I believe.”
Dancer is looking forward to a good car count and stout competition.
“Last year at Lawrenceburg, Kyle Larson and Rico Abreu showed up along with some other outsiders,” he said. “We’ll see who makes their way to the track this year.”
