Want to Reserve a Tailgate Spot? - FAQ

Q - How do I reserve my tailgate spot?
A - Go to the Buy Tickets button icon on the www.springfieldf1grandprix.com site. It will take you to a site that has a map of locations to show what spots are available. You can reserve your spot with an order and we'll mail out your passes and order menu prior to the race. FYI. It's best to reserve you spot from a desktop computer so you can view your location.
Q - What's this Raceview Tailgate Spot?
A - You can reserve a tailgate spot along the race course with the best view for the whole weekend.
Q - What's included?
A - You get a 18' x 30' spot along the water front to park your vehicle, bring in your tables, chairs, coolers, grills, games, and pop up tents and enjoy the whole weekend with the best seat in the house. It also includes one general admission pass for the weekend.
Q - Can my friends join me?
A - Absolutely, all they need to do is purchase a General Admission ticket for the day they want to come and they can have fun in your spot.
Q - Will I'll be able to hear the announcer from my spot?
A - You should be able to hear the PA Announcer from the speakers but you will also be able to tune into a radio frequency and listen to the race.
Q - Can I leave stuff overnight?
A - Yes, you can leave stuff overnight such as tents and grills, but we are not responsible if things are stolen or taken. We will lock the gate and have some security but it is your responsibility.
Q - Is beer allowed in?
A - Yes, it's a tailgate and bringing your stuff in is allowed, but this year we will be providing beer, beverage, ice, and Lee's famous recipe delivery thru an ordering system prior to the event. So you don't have to worry in piling things up in a car or truck. We'll have it on-site
Q - Can I bring a camper/RV for my spot?
A - No, we only allow one vehicle per spot which could be a truck or car. No RV's allowed. We have camping areas for RV's with hookups. We have a lot of folks camping with an RV then driving over to their spot with their car in the morning to set up.
Q - Can I see the whole race from my spot?
A - Yes, each spot can see the whole course, obviously where located you'll be able to see a turn or angel better. This is the only boat race facility in the US where you'll be up this close to the race boat action.
Q - Where do my guest park?
A - They will park in the General Admission parking area near the pits and the entrance will be off of 41. It's $5 to park and we'll have shuttles to the GA gates.
