Schedule Set - Springfield's Champions Park Lake Awarded 2 APBA National Championships for 2022
Springfield, OH - Great news for Springfield Ohio and Champions Park Lake from the annual American Powerboat Association convention held in Orlando, FL. Champions Park Lake will host for the 2nd straight year both the Stock and Outboard Performance Craft National Championships. APBA Stock Nationals will take place July 12-17 and the APBA OPC Nationals will take place Aug 27-28 during Wake the Lake 6. In addition Marine Racing Club and Champions Park Lake were awarded site of the year by the APBA at the annual convention for the 2021 Stock/Mod/Jr Nationals last July.
"It's really exciting to see the growth of Champions Park Lake and the continued support from all the APBA members. APBA is built on members and volunteers. If it weren't for those volunteers spending late nights setting schedules, organizing rooms, going over rules, helping in anyway they can to get boats and racers on the water then we wouldn't have this amazing race venue. It takes people to race boats and run Champions Park Lake and I can't thank everyone enough for what we've created and what we'll continue to create in Springfield, OH with the APBA." stated Dana Potts, promoter of Champions Park Lake.
March 1st Champions Park Lake will start renewals on Camping and Tailgating spots for the Wake the Lake 6/OPC Nationals. In addition we'll be offering tailgate options for the Stock Nationals.
In addition Champions Park Lake will be hosting the College Solar Powerboat World Championships "Solar Splash" www.solarsplash.com June 7-11 and the Midwest Inboard Driving School will be running June 3rd.
