Left Rear Flat Hinders Top-Five Run at ‘Big E’ for Brock Zearfoss

PETERSEN MEDIA: Brock Zearfoss and the Destiny Motorsports team were having quite a run on Saturday night with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Eldora Speedway until a flat left rear tire late in the race knocked them from the Top-Five.

“We kind of used Friday to test for Saturday, and it paid off,” Zeafoss said. “We had a great night going on Saturday but our left rear gave way and we had no time in the work area and it ended our night.”

Following a test and tune type of night with the World of Outlaws that saw the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill entry finish 14th in the feature, Zearfoss and crew came out strong on Saturday night with the All Stars.

Timing in third fastest in his qualifying group, Zearfoss would line up on the front row of his heat race where the win would move him directly into the feature event as well as earn him a berth in Dash No. 1.

Getting the win from his outside front row starting position, Zearfoss would fid himself on the pole for the feature event as he looked to get the Destiny Motorsports team their first win of the season.

When the race came to life, Zearfoss would slip back to second as he would battle with some stiff competition on the famed ½ mile speedway. Running in the fifth spot as the laps continued to click off as he battled a flattening left rear tire.

Just after the race’s halfway point, the leak had gotten bad enough where the tire had completely flattened and Zearfoss would come to a stop.

With the race being after the halfway point there was no time in the work area and the team’s night came to an end.

“I am really proud of Noisey and Kevin for working hard all night and giving us a great car,” Zearfoss added. “I am confident luck will fall our way soon.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Heavy Equipment Loaders and Parts, Berkebile Oil Company, BAPS Auto Paint and Supply, Meckleys Limestone, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, HRP, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, and Hoosier Tires North for their continued support.

2018 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-82, Wins-0, Top 5’s-16, Top 10’s-39.

ON TAP: Zearfoss and Destiny Motorsports will be in action Friday and Saturday night at Williams Grove Speedway for the National Open.
