Brock Zearfoss Looks Forward to ‘Home Cooking’ at Tuscarora 50
PETERSEN MEDIA: Following 11th and 14th place finishes with the World of Outlaws over this past weekend, Brock Zearfoss is looking forward to retuning to Port Royal Speedway this Friday and Saturday night for the long awaited Tuscarora 50.
“I am really looking forward to getting back to the familiar Port Royal Speedway and going after some big money,” Brock Zearfoss said. “We kind of had an up and down weekend in the Midwest, but we are all looking forward to this weekend.”
Friday night in Kansas City, KS, Zearfoss kicked his night off by timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill entry in 18th quickest in time trials, placing him in the third row of his heat race.
Finishing seventh in his heat, Zearfoss would pick up the win in the ‘B’, and move into the feature event where he started back in 19th. As the team continued to work on the Destiny Motorsports entry, Zearfoss would come to life in the feature event.
Working his way forward on the Lakeside Speedway surface, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ would earn KSE Hard Charger honors as he took the checkered flag with an 11th place finish.
“We kind of struggled with speed on Friday night, but the guys stayed at it and we were a lot better in the ‘A’,” Zearfoss noted.
Heading to Dodge City, KS on Saturday night, Zearfoss would find the Heavy Equipment Loaders and Parts/Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint and Supply backed entry 13th on the speed chart following time trials.
Advancing to fourth from the fifth starting position in his heat race, Zearfoss would then find himself 10th on the starting grid for the feature event on a wicked fast Dodge City Raceway Park surface.
Battling a car that was at tick on the tight side, restarts would hinder Zearfoss as he would lose a couple of positions before getting back up to speed. When the race drew to a close, Zearfoss would finish 14th.
“We were a little tight on Saturday and it hurt us on restarts,” Zearfoss explained. “My guys work hard, and I think it will be a great weekend at Port Royal this weekend.”
Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Heavy Equipment Loaders and Parts, Berkebile Oil Company, BAPS Auto Paint and Supply, Meckleys Limestone, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, HRP, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, and Hoosier Tires North for their continued support.
