Podium finish in Herald & Review 100 at Macon Speedway

Ryan Unzicker’s race-week kicked off on Thursday afternoon as the El Paso, Illinois native was searching for his third Herald & Review 100 victory at Macon Speedway.

With a third-place finish in his heat race locking him into the $7,500-to-win A-Main, Unzicker charged forward five spots in the eventful 100-lapper to finish third. He joined race-winner Trey Mills and Brandon Sheppard on the podium.

Using a provisional into Friday’s $10,000-to-win Hell Tour event after a mechanical issue sidelined him in his heat, Unzicker climbed 11 spots in the 40-lap affair to salvage a ninth-place finish.

Unzicker charged from the sixth row to the front in Saturday’s FALS Cup feature, but his night came to a premature end following a late-race tangle.
