Feger finishes seventh in Illini 100 prelim at Farmer City
Jason Feger joined a stacked field of 41 World of Outlaws Late Model Series entries at Farmer City (IL) Raceway on Friday evening to compete in the 18th annual Illini 100.
With the field divided into two groups for time trials, Feger followed up the third-fastest time in his group with a heat race victory. Receiving the pole for Friday’s preliminary feature via the redraw, Jason rallied to a seventh-place finish after an opening lap tangle sent him spinning in front of the field.
On Saturday, Jason squeezed into the $20,000-to-win Illini 100 finale with a third-place finish in his heat. However, a bent bar midway through the 60-lap feature caused steering issues that dropped him to 17th at the checkers.
