A Broken Motor Mount leads to more disappointment in El Paso

How can a track where I experienced several wins become the track that I barely can finish at. In the last 3 races I've hit the wall which took me out of the race, then I had electrical problems again taking me out, then I met the wall again but had a great come back. That leads us to Friday. Isn't it the rule of three? I'm done with the bad luck right? The heat went well. I wasn't pushing anything just wanted to finish, and that's just what I did.

As I started the main event everything was feeling good. I was starting in the back of a 14 car field, but here I'm thinking all the bad luck was behind me. I got through the pack pretty quickly, then with about 8 laps to go I run off the top of the track. Ok, not exactly what I had in mind but I still had time to make up ground so not worried at all. My car was fast and I knew I could get back to the front and I did get back to 2nd. With 3 laps to go the caution came out. Yes! I got this, on the bumper with the leader. The car feels good, I feel good, green flag. I should be in first, why is everyone passing me like I'm standing still. NOOOOOOOO! When the green flag came out and I started to upshift to third the motor mount broke and instead of up shifting, my car down shifted, and my race was over.

I know I'm learning lessons throughout this process, but WOW I really want another win at El Paso. This track will not get the best of me!

Thank you to Tom Zuloaga for allowing us the space and the help to get us ready for the race in Las Cruces.
