26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (August 16th, 2017) – Dylan Cappello has had quite the summer, he's won the last three Lucas Oil Modified Series races and he has led 225 consecutive laps all while traveling back and forth from the race track to North Carolina where he has spent the summer on an internship with Stewart-Haas Racing. Cappello looks to cap off his incredible summer with one last win at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night.

“Confidence with the team is at an all-time high,” said Cappello. “It seems like we are firing on all cylinders when it matters most and the plan is to keep it that way.”

Cappello has had success in his four previous starts at the track. He won his first race there in 2014 and has finished no worse than fourth since then.

“Irwindale is one of the biggest tracks we race at so momentum is key to being successful. Some other tracks on the schedule you can almost man handle the car to gain speed, but it seems if you miss the setup here you have a rough seventy-five laps ahead of you,” explained Cappello. “Experience is the biggest factor and Ryan Patridge, Travis Thirkettle, and Austin Barnes have a lot of laps around this place, so I will be watching and learning from them as well.”

This will likely be the last time the Lucas Oil Modified Series runs at the speedway after it was announced last week that January 31st, 2018 would be the final day of operation.

“It is such an awesome facility that has been home to so many racers in Southern California,” said Cappello. “Watching some of the best in the business race here in many showcase events has been a cool experience and being able to pick up another win there in the last race would be very special.”

You can catch all the action from Irwindale Speedway on LucasOilRacing.TV Saturday night starting at 7 PM Pacific time, a yearlong subscription for $99.99 is required to watch the event.

Dylan would like to thank Ram Mounts, Arizona Garage Doors, Spray Nine, Driven Motorsports, Team RBK, Pro Power Racing Engines, Total Power Batteries, Roger Seymour Photography, and Bilstein Shocks for their continued support.
