Who was driving that Black #2 Legend car?
Who was driving that Black #2? Who drove that #2 from the back of the field to the front? Angela Donahue was driving that car at Kentucky Speedway on August 28th. After a short test run on Saturday she said that she did not like how the car was handling. She was experiencing a major tight condition in the center of turn 3 and 4. Her older Brother suggested a few things to adjust on the chassis, her Dad made a tire pressure adjustment on the right side and she did the rest. She qualified 2nd fastest on Sunday. Angela said the car wasn’t perfect but she could keep it fast by adjusting her line. (The best words a crew chief can hear) She adjusted he line alright, and made the rest of the field look like they were instructed to let her pass. In the heat race she had a heim bolt break on a trailing arm so she started last in the feature race. Normally starting last is a bad thing but Angie quickly passed car after car until she was in second place. With just two laps to go and gaining on the leader she got hit on the left rear tire entering turn 3 and was spun out. Normally getting spun is a bad thing too but Angie was all smiles when she got back to the pits. She said she had a lot of fun and when she was asked about the move that put her into a spin she said “That’s just racing” and resumed her exciting review of the race. Great job Angie, we can’t wait to see you run again.
