Jackson Motorplex Awards Five More Track Championships

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Aug. 27, 2016) – Jackson Motorplex crowned five champions on Saturday night.
Don Gerritsen Jr., Luke Sathoff, Justin Luinenburg, Jason Andrews and Nate Coopman each won a track championship at the half-mile oval, which went through an extensive renovation prior to this season.
Andrews is the only driver to both win Saturday’s feature and a championship. Other feature winners were Kelly Shryock, Austin Jahnz, Oliver Monson and Jim Larson.
Andrews maneuvered from eighth to earn his fourth Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA Sport Mods triumph this year, which secured his track title. Matthew Looft rallied from ninth to second place with Dustin Wiederhoeft placing third, Danny Myrvold fourth and Greg Sidles fifth.
Shryock charged from seventh to claim his fourth Wilmont Oil IMCA A-Mods victory of the season. Clayton Christensen advanced from ninth to second place, Jay Noteboom from 12th to third place and James Slawson from 11th to fourth place with Justin Anderson rounding out the top five.
Jahnz captured his first Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA Hobby Stocks feature win of the season. Drew Bargloff scored a runner-up result with Luinenburg finishing third, Ernie Dailey fourth and Chad Krug fifth.
Monson garnered his first Boji Bay Water Park IMCA Sport Compacts victory this season after starting eighth. Kaytee Devries placed second, A.J. Myott third, Coopman fourth and Scott Espey fifth.
The closest points battle of the season came down to a one-point margin as Larson earned his third After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA Stock Cars win of the year only to be edged by Sathoff, who advanced to a third-place result. Dustin Larson was second, Levi Feltman fourth and Devin Kuehne fifth.
The AGCO Jackson Nationals is on tap for Jackson Motorplex next Friday through Sunday when the marquee tripleheader features the National Sprint League, Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour and Heartland Racing Association.
