Diercks collects $2,000 payday at Dubuque Speedway
Aboard his Rockstar Energy Drink No. 29 Late Model, Spencer Diercks made the short trip to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Tuesday afternoon for the MARS Championship Series-sanctioned Hoker 50.
After picking up a heat race victory over pole-starting Garrett Alberson to start in his night, Diercks was sidelined with an overheating motor in the feature while running in sixth.
In the TCE No. 21 Modified on Wednesday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa), Spencer went fourth-to-first in his heat before starting the feature in sixth and taking command of the lead for good on lap 12, en route to his fifth win of the season. He earned a $2,000 payday ahead of Matt Gansen, Jed Freiburger, Denny Eckrich, and Brandon Schmitt.
For the $5,000 top prize on Saturday at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa), Diercks' managed to move forward two spots in his heat to finish fifth, relegating him into one of three consolation races. Taking the top-two, Spencer fell short with a fourth-place outing.
Back at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, Spencer raced his way into the redraw with a runner-up run in his heat. Rolling off fifth for the feature, Diercks faded to finish 12th in the 20-lapper.
