Hallstrom Charges to Top-10 Finish at Home Track

Inside Line Promotions – BARRE, V.T. (June 19, 2018) – Evan Hallstrom recorded his second top 10 of the season on June 8 at his home track of Thunder Road International Speedbowl.
“We had a good car in practice and logged good laps throughout the sessions,” he said. “I have never had to battle with the sunshine and shade and the track changes that come along with that until this weekend so I had to learn and adapt from there.”
The Hallstrom Motorsports driver finished where he started – seventh – in a heat race, which lined him up on the outside of the 10th row for the main event.
“We were pretty hammer down in the feature,” he said. “Whoever was in front of us would make holes and we would follow through. We made our way through the field pretty quickly.”
Hallstrom charged to a ninth-place result.
Not only has Hallstrom hustled on the track, he has been active off it as well. Hallstrom recently attended the Dale Jr. Foundation Safe Kids 301 event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with Speedway Children’s Charities. He displayed his car and supported the Governor’s Highway Safety Program message of Click It Or Ticket to promote buckling up as well as no texting and driving.
“It was a great event to attend and I’m very thankful they invited me to be a part of it,” Hallstrom said. “The kids had a great time and we connected with some of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program folks from New Hampshire. Overall, it was a great experience.”
Hallstrom’s next race on the schedule will be this Thursday at Thunder Road International Speedbowl.
