Ryan Timms Powers to Seventh Win of 2025 at Knoxville Raceway
Fourth Victory for Oklahoma Teenager at Famed Iowa Oval
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (06/30/25) – After a late-race slider was nullified by a caution, Ryan Timms remained undeterred. On the final lap, he completed the pass on five-time track champion Brian Brown and powered to a $6,000 victory at Knoxville Raceway.
The dramatic Saturday night finish marked Timms’ fourth win of the season at the Sprint Car Capital of the World and his seventh overall triumph of the 2025 campaign aboard the Liebig Motorsports / Hampel Oil / West River Trailer Sales & Service No. 10 Maxim Chassis Sprint Car.
“It’s definitely been a year…I never thought I’d win four 410 races at Knoxville so quick,” said Timms in Casey's Victory Lane. “It’s just so surreal to pass a guy like Brian Brown, you know pass him once and then get a little unlucky there, but to get to capitalize on it and be able to get him again was just phenomenal. The car was great all night but I just sucked the whole time minus the feature and it was a big improvement from heat race to feature. We’re just gonna keep working on it and keep trying to perfect my craft and we’ll keep winning more races.”
The night began slowly for Timms, who slipped a spot in his heat race and settled for sixth. Knoxville Raceway’s new “Think-n-Ink A-Main Invert Draw” placed him on the sixth row for the feature, but the Oklahoma native wasted little time charging forward. He climbed to third by lap seven and overtook Kerry Madsen for second on lap 12. Despite the late-race caution that briefly stalled his momentum, Timms regrouped and surged ahead to claim another victory at the iconic half-mile.
