Brennon Willard
17th place finish in MLRA finale at Tri-City
Brennon Willard entered Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) action on Friday night at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) behind the wheel of Tony Jackson Jr.’s secondary Late Model for the doubleheader. In a stout field of 47 cars, Willard failed to qualify for the opening night feature via his heat race and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Brennon held his spot for all 30 laps to place 25th.
The following night, Brennon came in 10th in his heat race before placing 11th in his B-Main. Using a provisional into the $7,000-to-win finale, Willard marched forward nine spots in the 50-lapper to register a 17th place outing.
Sunday night’s MLRA finale at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Mo.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
