CLAUSON-MARSHALL RACING AND TYLER COURTNEY EXPANDING THEIR 2020 PROGRAM
Tyler Courtney will pilot the Clauson-Marshall Racing NOS ENERGY DRINK #7BC
INDIANAPOLIS – Clauson-Marshall Racing announced that it is continuing its partnership with NOS® ENERGY DRINK for the 2020 race season and will chase a second NOS ENERGY DRINK USAC National Midget Championship.
Tyler Courtney will pilot the NOS ENERGY DRINK #7BC in 2020. Courtney will also run a flex schedule between winged sprint cars and USAC National Sprint Cars in 2020 for Clauson-Marshall Racing.
Tyler Courtney stated, “2020 is going to be a fun year for us. I am excited to go out and defend our NOS ENERGY DRINK USAC National Midget Championship, as well as take on the new challenge of putting a wing on top of our sprint car. Both challenges are going to be tough, but we have a great team behind us, and I know they are as up for the challenges as I am.” Courtney went on to say, “…oh, and we still get to play around in the non-wing sprint car as well at all of my favorite places.”
Tim Clauson stated, “We are looking forward to being a part of this next step with Tyler. This is exciting not only for him, but for Clauson-Marshall racing as a company. There is little doubt some of the biggest races include wings, so to be able to add a program that will allow us to be a part of all of grassroots racing’s biggest events, whether that be midgets, non-wing sprint cars and now winged sprint cars, really excites not only the car owner in me, but more importantly, the racer in me.”
Courtney has had is fair share of success in sprint car racing. The Indianapolis native was the 2018 USAC National Sprint Car Champion and fell short by a mere few points to go back-to-back in 2019. He has also dabbled in winged sprint cars recently and looks to build upon the success he has had in both non-wing and wing racing.
Lauren Albano, Marketing Director NOS Energy, states, “We are thrilled to continue our sponsorship of Tyler Courtney. He’s human horsepower behind the wheel and can’t wait to see what he does across multiple different disciplines this year.”
