Robie Conquers "Mad Dog" For First GSPSS Victory In Keen Parts 100

WINCHESTER, N.H. - Cole Robie has been eager to break through and score his first win with the Granite State Pro Stock Series. Saturday night, in front of one of the season’s biggest audiences, he finally pulled it off.
The Windham, Maine, rookie defended a last-lap charge from Casey Call to win the Keen Parts 100 at Monadnock Speedway, earning his first touring Pro Stock win and stealing the midseason GSPSS points lead.
Saturday’s race was the first for the series at “Mad Dog” since 2022. A repave of the tough quarter-mile a year ago effectively wiped out the notebooks of the few who had raced in the GSPSS’ previous sixteen visits, somewhat leveling the playing field heading into the fifth race of the season.
Taking advantage of the reset, Robie blitzed the oval in time trials, setting quick time for the first time in his brief career. A bump in his heat relegated him to third, with Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Eddie MacDonald picking up heat wins.
But a redraw moved Robie back up the grid, putting him on the outside pole along fellow Pro Stock rookie Connor McDougal to start the feature.
McDougal, in only his second-ever Pro Stock start, led his first career laps around the bullring before Robie knocked on the door, slipping by to take the lead five laps in. As Robie asserted himself out front, the field sorted itself out in the mirror, Jeremy Sorel shuffled from his fourth starting spot and outside of the top ten. Cory Casagrande and MacDonald settled into third and fourth.
Joe Kendall spun in turn four, gathering it up but nearly collecting MacDonald as the leaders streaked past. Three laps later, Mike Mitchell spun his Rollie Lindblad-prepared ride in the same spot to bring out the night’s first caution flag.
Robie lined up alongside Casagrande for the start, powering ahead of the Connecticut veteran as the green flag waved. McDougal’s beginner’s luck evaporated a few laps later, as the Late Model star lost control down the backstretch and peeled off for the pits.
As Robie kept Casagrande at arm’s length, Casey Call made his charge from 11th on the grid, emerging in third with the crossed flags approaching. Call ran Casagrande down, diving past to take second on lap 48.
Robie’s win was almost assured when sixth-place Evan Beaulieu, working his way by a lapped car, got bitten by “Mad Dog” and spun himself out. Sorel was collected in the aftermath, bringing out the yellow with only three laps to go.
Robie and Call brought the field back to green, with Call digging in to steal his first GSPSS win since 2023. But the dominant Robie eased ahead into first, and only a shot to the bumper could unseat the rookie from the point.
In front of a packed house, and in only his seventh GSPSS start, Robie put on a dominant show to win in a Pro Stock for the first time.
Call was one of the first to congratulate Robie in victory lane, ecstatic with his own season-best finish after a tough start to his championship defense.
Casagrande held on for third, with MacDonald recovering from his early near-miss to finish fourth. Ryan Green raced as high as fourth before settling for fifth.
Claremont Motorsports Park season opener winner Wayne Helliwell, Jr. finally shook his bad luck to finish sixth, his first finish since his victory. Bobby Baillargeon was seventh in his first start of 2025. Beaulieu limped home eighth with suspension damage, while Josh St. Clair and Monadnock veteran Tom Carey III rounded out the top ten.
With his win, Robie leapfrogged Beaulieu to take the points lead by two markers, with Casagrande and Call closing the gap on the top of the standings.
The Granite State Pro Stock Series returns to action Friday evening, July 25, at Lee USA Speedway. “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed” bookends the second half of the GSPSS schedule as Friday’s feature sets the stage for the season finale at Russ Conway’s Oktoberfest.
