Setters Highlights Season With Championship, Four Wins and Career-Best Runs During Big Events

Inside Line Promotions – SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho (Sept. 21, 2021) – The 2021 season was mission accomplished for James Setters.

The first objective was to win another Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series championship, which Setters was able to do in the Mike Quigley owned No. 2. It marked their third straight title together.

Setters also captured four of the six series races and he finished in the runner-up position during the other two events. He was victorious during his heat race at all six series shows.

“It was nice to continue to win, especially with some new drivers running the series,” he said. “Our main goal was to get the championship again and we were able to do that and win a few races along the way so we’re happy.”

Setters was successful in his family owned sprint car as well, capturing career-best results during Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competition – a sixth-place run during the Grizzly Nationals at Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade, Mont. – and ASCS Frontier Region action – a runner-up result at Gallatin Speedway.

Additionally, Setters finished in the top 10 of the Western Sprint Tour Speedweek standings following a successful five-race stint during the spectacle.

“We didn’t get to run as much as we wanted to this year, but we made the most of it,” he said. “It’s definitely nice running against the best competition. When you run the national shows everybody is fast and you learn a lot.

“I want to thank Mike for the opportunity to drive for him as well as the sponsors who support me. I’m really looking forward to getting back to racing next year and hopefully competing for another championship and continuing to get better as a driver.”
