Super Stock Special at Humboldt Speedway
The lights might have went out at Humboldt Speedway but they where not out for 75 of Jerrod Reimer in the Auto Tech Super Stock Special because he lead every lap but one in the $1,000 to win feature on Friday night. We had 22 cars show up for the special as normally a class that runs over at 81 Speedway and trying to show the fans at Humboldt Speedway what kind of racing they have on a weekly basis at 81 Speedway. There were battles all over the track for the Super Stocks and put on an awesome show for the Humboldt fans. In the Rays Metal Depot USRA B-mods X2 of Brian Bolen ran from Fort Scott, KS was in control of the B-Mods and picked up the win to start the season at Humboldt Speedway. Gabe Hodges and Tyler Kidwell both looked really good in the race also just couldn't get the lead. The Extrusions, INC Midwest Mods had the 16 of Mathew Kay starting on the pole and never looked back as he was super fast and picked up the win for the Midwest Mods. Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks saw the 199 of Matt French pick up the season opening race win but another car that looked really good was the 3 car of Derrek Wilson. The USRA Tuners only saw 5 out of 10 cars only start the A Feature. The driver who came out on top was the 4T of Trenton Wilson. Humboldt Speedway will be back in action again this weekend, April 7th, with more weekly points racing when the Rays Metal Depot USRA B-Mods, Extrusions, INC Midwest Mods, Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks, USRA Tuners and the ARMI USRA Modifieds hit the track. Pits Open at 5pm, Grandstands open at 6pm and the races will start at 8pm sharp so don't miss out on the action.
