SSP Ready To Get Back To Racing On September 22nd; Championship Night For Mods And Micros

Banks, Oregon- After last weekend’s disappointing rain out Sunset Speedway Park is excited to get back to it on Saturday, September 22nd. With just two races left in the 2018 calendar time is running out for championships to be won. Just six classes are on the card including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, and both classes of Micro Sprints. It is the final race of the year for the IMCA Modifieds and the Micros.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com . Greg Walters is at the top of the IMCA Modified win list with his four triumphs. Aaron Elwess, John Campos, and Jesse Williamson all have achieved two victories while Doug Lockwood, Trevor LaBarge, Collen Winebarger, and Jimmy Schram have one each. Tanner Krohling has the most Pure Stock wins, at five, while Tim Zurtia has three. Kendall Lee is a two-time winner with both Bert Pegg and Jacob Myers earning one triumph each.
Ryan Conroy has had a dominating season in the 4-Bees as he has ten wins. William Wolfe has parked it on five times over two-time winner Travis Koch. Austin Henderson, Captain Turnabout, and Eddie Farness all have won once. Macie Logsdon and Allison Johnson are tied at the top of the win chart in the Restricted Micros followed by one-time victors Becca Clark, Jo Jo Batalgia, Jesson Jacboson, Dakota Drake, Lane Taylor, and Cole Patrick. In the Micro Open Jeff Little has been in prime form with five trips to victory lane. Evan Margeson has gotten the job done twice while Chance Crum, Josh Thompson, and Jesse Schlotfeldt have put together a single win to their names.
