Chad Thrash Dominates the Southern Street Stock Nationals
(Meridian, MS – August 18, 2024) Chad Thrash has once again cemented his legacy in the world of Street Stock racing with an impressive victory at the 12th Annual Southern Street Stock Nationals, held at Whynot Motorsports Park. This win marks Thrash’s third career victory in this prestigious event, and his third in just four years, adding to his previous triumphs in 2021, and 2022.
Thrash delivered an outstanding performance throughout the weekend, finishing with a perfect record. He started the weekend as the fastest qualifier, won his Qualifier’s Feature, and capped it all off with a commanding win in the Main Event. Thrash led an astonishing 46 of the 50 laps, with the only laps not under his control being the four laps led by Travis Marsh.
The event also showcased remarkable performances from several other drivers. Justin McRee made a notable comeback as the “Hard Charger,” climbing an impressive 26 positions from 34th to finish 8th. Neil Baggett also made a significant charge, moving up 23 spots from 33rd to 10th.
