Whynot Motorsports Park
Record Payout for the 30th Annual Fall Classic
The 30th Annual Fall Classic will pay an event record $20,000 to the winner on Saturday October 26, 2024.
Whynot, Miss. (Sept. 12, 2024) — The 30th running of the Coors Light Fall Classic Oct. 25-26 at Whynot Motorsports Park will feature the richest payout in the event's history with the winner of the weekend’s Super Late Model finale set to earn a $20,000 payday. With twin split-field Super Late Model features each paying $3,000 to the winner on Friday night, a potential $23,000 weekend payday is up for grabs for Super Late Model drivers.
The event-record winner’s purse for the Super Late Model finale reflects a $5,000 increase over last season’s $15,000 payout and is part of a substantial purse increase across all divisions. The weekend will also feature Crate Late Models racing for $5,000 (up from $3,000 last year), Open-Wheel Modifieds and Street Stocks each racing for $2,500, 602 Sportsman and Factory Stocks each competing for $1,500, and Enduros racing for $500.
In addition to the boosted payouts, Fall Classic promoters Charles and Jannie Thrash have announced the return of Hunt the Front TV as the event’s exclusive live-streaming partner. Fans unable to attend in person can watch the action live via the Hunt the Front TV app or online at www.huntthefront.tv.
Super Late Models will headline both nights of the event, starting with twin split-field features on Friday, Oct. 25, each paying $3,000 to the winner. These races will serve as a precursor to the standalone show on Saturday, Oct. 26, which will not be impacted by Friday’s results.
Since its inception in 1995, the Fall Classic has earned a reputation for drawing some of the strongest Super Late Model fields each year. Initially held at Whynot Motorsports Park from 1995 to 1998, the event moved to Queen City Speedway in Meridian, Miss., and Jackson Motor Speedway for a brief period before returning to Whynot in 2006, where it has remained ever since.
The Fall Classic has produced an impressive list of champions over the years, including Super Late Model legends such as Jonathan Davenport, Scott Bloomquist, Mike Marlar, Devin Moran, Shane Clanton, Don O’Neal, and Brian Birkhofer. In 2023, Ashton Winger claimed victory in a stacked 47-car field.
All local divisions except for Enduros will run preliminary races on Friday, with their main events scheduled for Saturday. Enduros will race exclusively on Saturday night. An open practice session for all divisions is scheduled for Thursday, October 24.
Join us at Whynot Motorsports Park for an unforgettable weekend of dirt track racing as we celebrate 30 years of the Fall Classic!
