Robustelli Wins Iron Head Sprint Spectacular; Hudson And Peery Also Collect SOS Triumphs
White City, Oregon- Southern Oregon Speedway was back at it on Saturday, September 4th, for their second race of the weekend. The Iron Head Sprint Series headlined the Iron Head Sprint Spectacular. Also attending were the Tri-State Pro Stock Series and IMCA Northern SportMods.
Camden Robustelli scored a massive victory in the Iron Head Sprint Series. The Medford motorist, driving for car owners T.J. and Stacy Winningham, accomplished his second win at Southern Oregon in 2022. Bailey Hibbard, also from Medford, finished ahead of Central Point’s Jake Wheeler, running for car owner Roger Henderson, for second. Johnny Burke, of Eagle Point, was fourth while fifth went to Grants Pass driver R.J. McGahney.
Keno pilot Jeffrey Hudson took care of business again in the Tri-State Pro Stock Series. Steve Borror of Klamath Falls was the runner-up, with Santa Maria, California traveler Frank Nyback earning third. California natives Richard Brace Jr., from Grass Valley, and Salinas veteran Bobby Hogge IV completed the top five, in fourth and fifth.
Ryan Peery conquered the ranks in the IMCA Northern SportMod division. The Yreka, California teenager now has four wins at SOS. Austin Petray of Central Point got second over third finishing Brookings driver Matt Sanders. Central Point’s Nick Berryhill beat out Mike Medel, from Medford, for fourth.
Southern Oregon Speedway returns to racing action on Saturday, September 10th, for Championship and Pepsi Night. Sprint Cars, Dwarf Cars, Super 4’s, and Mini Stocks will all be on the card. For more information, log on to www.southernoregonspeedway.com.
