Devils Lake Speedway
Long Live the Slide Job
The weather was perfect and the racing was hot at the Devils Lake Speedway Saturday night.
Aiden McKuski of New Bothwell MB won the Heat race in the Purestocks division. Joe Armstrong of Crary ND went on a Saturday night all the day to Victory Lane. Waylon Poitra of Belcourt ND of would finish 2nd. Allen Charette Jr would finish 3rd. The 4th place finish was Rylan Swenson of Devils Lake ND and Trentin Decoteau of Belcourt rounded out the Top 5.
Seth Klostreich of Grand Forks ND was the Heat 1 winner. Shane Swenson of Devils Lake ND went on a Saturday Night Cruise all the way to Victory Lane. Seth Klostreich would finish 2nd. Stoney Kruk would settle for 3rd place. Drew Peterson of Langdon ND would finish 4th with Greg Jose of Grand Forks ND finishing 5th.
Jaden Varnson of Lakota ND and Matt Schow of McIntosh MN both were Heat winners. Cylen Vargason of Edinburg ND held off the wolves with Jory Berg of Grand Forks hot on his tail. Vargason would come home victorious and Berg would settle for 2nd. Jaden Varnson of Lakota finished 3rd. Randy Thompson of Lakota finished 4th and Matt Schow would round out the Top 5.
Dustin Strand of East Grand Forks MN and Travis Robertson of Fargo ND would take home the heat wins Saturday Night. The Feature race was a barn burner from start to finish. Tucker Pederson of East Grand Forks MN took an early lead. Wasn't long and Tucker Pederson had company with Dustin Strand showing his nose. The 2 East Grand Forks drivers duked it out lap for lap with slide jobs and crossovers. Keeping everyone in the stands on the edge of their seats. Just as Brody Troftgruben of Grand Forks ND was making his presence known to Strand and the Young Pederson an untimely caution flag came out. Resetting the field. Tucker Pederson would come home with the win. With Dustin Strand finishing 2nd. Brody Troftgruben finishing 3rd. Rookie Late Model Driver Kelsi Pederson of East Grand Forks held onto a 4th place finish with Travis Robertson finishing 5th.
The Devils Lake Speedway will be back in Action this Saturday July 19th for CHS night with the NLRA Late Models on hand for another night of Late Model Racing Action.
