PPM 12th with the All Stars at Williams Grove
PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting back to Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions pres. by Mobil1 action for the first time since Florida over the weekend, Parker Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports recorded a 12th place finish on Friday night at Williams Grove before a trying night at Port Royal Speedway saw the team finish 21st.
“We had good speed at times both nights, but I made a couple of mistakes that cost us a Top-10 on Friday,” Parker Price-Miller said. “Saturday night we were good early and then we just struggled, but it was the type or surface we are working to get better on so we will learn from it and build.”
Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway Price-Miller timed the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 machine in seventh quickest overall and fourth fastest in his time trial group.
Lining up on the front row of his heat race, the Kokomo, IN driver would finish in second and punched his ticket into both the Dash and the feature event. Getting into a car on the start of the Dash, PPM would lose several positions and would end up finish sixth which would in turn line him up in the 11th starting position for the feature event.
Using the high side to his advantage in the opening laps, PPM would find himself up in eighth and comfortably in the Top-10. Admittedly sticking up top too long, Price-Miller would lose some positions before changing his line and he would take the checkered flag with a 12th place finish.
Saturday night saw the scene shift to Port Royal Speedway where Price-Miller kicked things off by timing in second fastest in his qualifying group.
Gridding the field from the second row of his heat race, Price-Miller would struggle to move forward in his heat race, and a slight mistake would relegate him to a fifth place finish and force him into the semi.
Missing the transfer position out of the ‘B’, Price-Miller and crew would elect to use an ASCoC Provisional and would line up 27th on the starting grid. Mired deep in the field, Price-Miller would gain a few positions during the duration of the event as he closed his weekend out with a 22nd place finish.
“I have to thank my team for all their hard work, I just wish we had more to show for it,” Price-Miller added. “I am really looking forward to some familiar territory this weekend and am hoping we can have three really good runs. We have some amazing backers behind this team and I have to thank them all for their support as well as Rick and Barb Rogers for what they do.”
