Parker Price-Miller 4th at Wayne County
PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing his Rookie campaign with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions pres. by Mobil1 Friday and Saturday night, Parker Price-Miller would have two nice showings that saw him finish 10th on Friday at Attica Raceway Park and fourth on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway.
“Overall it was a good weekend for our race team,” Parker Price-Miller said. “We have some great speed and we are where we need to be. We will keep digging and get up and start battling for wins.”
Friday night at Attica Raceway Park, Price-Miller would find himself in a tough heat and qualifying group and flexed his muscle by timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 machine in second quick in the group and ninth fastest overall.
Lining up third in his heat race, the Kokomo, IN product would pick up a third place finish and move into the feature event where he would roll off the starting grid from the 13th starting position.
On the slick surface, Price-Miller would find himself battling inside the Top-10 as he made some quick moves when the race came to life. Battling for eighth much of the race, Price-Miller would admittedly get a little complacent and it would cost him at the end as be took the checkered flag in 10th.
Traveling to Wayne County Speedway on Saturday night, Price-Miller would get off to another strong start, as he would go out dead last in qualifying time trials and still time the Destiny Motorsports entry in fifth quickest overall and second in his group for the second consecutive night.
A very impressive heat race saw PPM advance from third to pick up the win and make himself eligible for the Dash. Running second in Dash 2, Price-Miller would grid the field from the second row for the feature event.
From his fourth starting spot, ‘The Law Firm’ would get jump up into third when the race came to life. Slipping back to fourth, Price-Miller would then get his elbows up and go to work on the cushion. Making a ton of speed up top, Price-Miller chase down the top-three but as he finally made it to them the checkered flag would fly and he would close his weekend out with a fourth place finish.
“We really started to come alive late in Saturday’s race but we just ran out of time,” Parker Price-Miller said. “I have a lot of confidence in our race team right now, and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do at the Sprint Car World Championship this weekend. Huge thanks to Rick and Barb Rogers and all of the people who support Destiny Motorsports.”
