Excellent Three-Race Swing for Parker Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports

PC- Zack Anthony

PETERSEN MEDIA: Parker Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports were able to ride the momentum from Memorial Day Weekend over to this past weekend and even on Tuesday night. Running Third with the All Stars on Friday, PPM would back it up with a charge to 4th in Sharon on Saturday, and picked up a seventh place finish with the World of Outlaws on Tuesday night in Fairbury, IL.

“Things are really clicking for us, and this team is having a lot of fun,” Price-Miller said. “I think we had a better car than our results show from last night in Illinois, but I made a mistake on an early restart and had to make up some ground on a rubbered up surface.”

Friday night kicked off a three-race in four night stretch for the team, and PPM kicked the weekend off by timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 in second fastest overall and second fastest in his time trial group.

Lining up in the third starting position, a second place finish would lock ‘The Law Firm’ into the Dash where a fifth place finish put him 10th on the starting grid in the feature event.

From the fifth row, PPM would put on a show in the feature event on a racy Lernerville Speedway. Making moves lap after lap, the Kokomo, IN pilot would become a factor late in the race as he wrapped his night up with a hard fought third place finish.

With no All Star completion scheduled for Saturday night, the Destiny Motorsports team made the trip to Sharon Speedway to sneak in another night of racing. Timing in fifth quickest in time trials, Price-Miller would grid the field from the pole for heat race action.

Not getting a great jump in the heat, PPM would slip back a little as he finished third, which placed him in the sixth row to start the feature. Just as he did on Friday night, Price-Miller wasted no time getting his machine into contention. Working his way into third, Price-Miller would be forced to take evasive action making a move for second and it resulted in him spinning to a stop and tagging the field back in 14th.

For the second time in the same night, Price-Miller dazzled the crowd from the back of the pack. Giving it all he had, Price-Miller would rally to grab the team their third consecutive Top-Five finish.

Sunday’s All Star race would rain out, and the team would then make the trip to Fairbury, IL on Tuesday night to take on the World of Outlaws at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.

Price-Miller and company would continue to showcase a fast racecar as he would time in fourth fastest in time trials and line up on the front row of his heat race.

Chasing after Jacob Allen in heat race action, Price-Miller would finish second which would put him in the Dash where his fifth place finish put him in the third row for the 40-lap feature event.

Jumping into fourth when the race came to life, an early caution would put the field in double file formation for a restart. Things would not pan out for PPM and he would lose several positions as he slipped out of the Top-10 and found himself back in 11th.

Settling down, Price-Miller would attack the cushion, as rubber would start to go down on the speedway. Able to make up some lost ground, Price-Miller would notch his fourth straight Top-10 finish as he brought the Destiny Motorsports entry home in seventh.

“I wish I could have that restart back,” Price-Miller said. “I think we had at least a Top-Five car, but I tried to make something happen and it backfired on me. Huge thanks to all my guys for their continued hard work, as well as to Rick and Barb Rogers and our partners for continuing to support us and give us what we need to succeed.”
