Ashton Winger takes rough tumble at Talladega Short Track

Kicking off his pursuit of the 2024 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series championship, Ashton Winger unloaded at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the $15,000-to-win Bama Bash.

With 46 Late Models packed in the pit area, Winger went out for his qualifying lap when he tagged the cushion and flipped wildly going into turn 3. Winger was unjuried but was forced to go to his backup car for the remainder of the evening. Despite a valiant effort, Ashton came up a few spots short in his B-Main.
