SATTERLEE CONTINUES HAGERSTOWN MASTERY WITH DURBORAW/MCBEE VICTORY. WILSON AND FOUST ADD TO STOCK CAR WIN TOTALS

Hagerstown MD, (8/10/24)- Indiana Pa’s Gregg Satterlee has been the class of the field, hands down, at Hagerstown Speedway in Late Model competition for the past two seasons. In 2023 he went 3 for 3 and in 2024 he’s gone 2 for 4 as he drove to victory in Saturday nights 41-lap “Nathan Durboraw/ Ronnie McBee Tribute” as the Late Models were making their final appearance of the season at the fabled Washington county oval. The win for Satterlee, worth $4400, came steering his iconic Robbie Allen prepared Rocket No.22 and it would be the Keystone state pilots 15th career Hagerstown feature win.
Satterlee darted from his outside front row starting spot into the lead and would eventually lap up to the ninth place car in the nonstop 41-lap contest. Eventual runner-up Trever Feathers reached second by the 18th lap, but Satterlee was in a class by himself and drove off to the popular win. “First off I’d like to thank everybody for putting this race together.” Satterlee stated in victory lane. “I remember watching Nathan when I was just getting started in the Late Models and it’s an honor to win this race.” Intense lapped traffic kept Satterlee on his toes throughout the event. “I was able to pick them off pretty good and it seemed like we were in traffic all night, but we had a really good car and I was able to put it where I needed to.” Rick Eckert took third with Justin Weaver and 10th starting Kyle Lee rounding out the top five. Gregg Satterlee set fast time in time trials over the 29 car field with a one lap time of 17.925. Heats went to Satterlee, Eckert and Weaver with Jim Bernheisel claiming the B-main win. Justin Weaver took the $500 to win dash for cash.
Dillon Wilson drove to his 3rd win of the season in the 15-lap Semi Late main. Lining up 7th for the start, Wilson took the lead from Bryan Kerns on the 6th lap and walked off with the victory. Kerns, Steve Kent, Rob Nichols and Brady Neff completed the top five. Heats went to Kent and Wilson.
Evan Foust has proved to be virtually unbeatable as he drove from his 11th starting spot to score his 6th win of the season in the 15-lap Pure Stock feature. Trailing at the finish were, Randy Linaburg, Danny Walters, Cody Sumption and Blake Reed. Heats went to Keith Reed, Foust and Sumption.
