Carter Weedon
On the Podium again at Shenandoah
It was a Double header Saturday Night at Shenandoah Speedway. Carter qualified 4th out of 17 legends cars in a STRONG field with a 17.483 lap.
The early laps of Race #1 Carter battled with #0 of Alex McCollum before taking control of the 4th spot. A late caution bunched the field back up. Carter took a few chances to move up. He was battling with Daniel Sylvestri in the #97 for 3rd. Carter was not able to make his pass stick and ended the race in 4th.
The second race saw the top 8 finishing positions inverted for the start. This put Carter on the inside of row 3 in 5th position. After a restart due to a caution on lap one, Carter make some agressive move to the front. He got as high as 2nd before settling in to the third postion for most of the race. He had some good looks on the inside, but finished a strong 3rd place.
Carter was able to improve on his best lap time turning a 17.356 second lap - second fastest of the race!
