Conclusion of MARRS season at VIR
We were at VIR for MARRS 11 at the Goblins Go/Prod Fest this weekend running the 3.27 mile road course. We had beautiful weather all weekend.
In Saturday's race we ran a 2:16.951 lowering the Legends Track record while finishing 1st in Legends and 7th overall. Shout out to Robert Conner for his qualifying time of 2:16.903. An oil leak (or was it a tire rub?) caused problems for him in the race. And a shout to Brian Donati he finished on the podium both days!
In Sunday's we were able to lower the Legends Track record even more to a 2:15.442 finishing 1st in Legends and 6th overall. Car was on a rail all race until the left rear axle seal starting leaking - made a big mess, but we were able to finish the race without losing a spot. We are hopeful it is a quick fix.
We'll need a quick turnaround on repairs to get ready for the Legends - Battle of the Virginias next weekend on the Road Course at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania Virginia
